Diet And Exercise Plan

During a research to find the most effective diet and exercise plan for weight loss, I actually came across some options that will allow users to follow dieting programs with health and fitness being the top priority. After reviewing and participating in some of the most popular programs, there were indeed some positive results. Most of these programs are in fact more fitness driven, but also included some dietary components. One of the difficulties in a weight-loss effort is simply being capable of not only staying discipline with food portions, but likewise to make sure that exercising elements are manageable.

Is this possible with just one programc

Now, this is a difficult question since there is actually no single program that one can consider the ideal diet and exercise plan for weight loss. Even though a few of them, especially the Diet Solution Program; Fat Burning Furnace and the Truth About Abs, are said to be quite effective. However, the fact still remain that one program might work effectively for you and can also be altered to meet your requirements, but this will not work for other people. For instance, some people have benefited significantly from building muscles to boost their metabolic rate, which results in burning off calories, but this process will not suit everybody.

The Best Exercise

To be honest, the best exercise could be as simply as discovering a certain way to work your body. You may begin with walking, minimal jogging or even yoga exercises. You could look at this as one way to start a physical fitness routine and as soon as your body tones up, proceed to more intense muscle building workouts which directly boosts your resting metabolic rate. It is essential to keep in mind that if you do not think that you are prepared to start a physical fitness program, particularly to lose weight, then this could harm your body if you are moving too fast. Whenever you are evaluating any exercise or diet program to lose weight, ensure that you are comfortable with it.

Diet programs which support long-term weight-loss

In most cases, weight loss and physical fitness shows that individuals who get involved in their food preparation and focuses on eating natural and whole foods will be able to make positive changes to their lifestyle in order to support and sustain their weight-loss.

As a result, when you are searching for the most effective diet and exercise plan for weight loss, evaluate what will work for you and then modify this to suit your requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you give me a healthy diet/exercise plan?
Hi, I’m 16, female, and weight over 60 kg (about 133 lb). I want to lose at least 8 kilos (about 17 lb) in 2-3 months. Can you give me a healthy diet plan, with light exercise, that will be effective? I don’t have a lot of time for exercise as I am doing a ton of work in school.
Can you tell me how much weight I can expect to lose and in how long, if I follow it?

    I’m 168 cm (5″6)

    • ANSWER:
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
      8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast – they give you energy

My mom isn’t rich, so we live off of cereal, fruits and veggies. Well, that’s not all we eat, but that’s my main diet lol. I only eat three normal meals a day and whenever my stomach feels empty. Don’t eat when you’re bored!! Or force yourself to eat when you’re full.

What would you say is a good food diet and exercise plan?
I’m 13 years old about 5ft 2 inch and 61.8 kg :S I have a chubby stomach and want to loose the body fat I have. I can’t eat nuts because I’m allergic and I don’t eat lamb. I need a good diet plan and exercise plan to help me lose weight or body fat fast and healthily thanks :)

    • ANSWER:
If you want to lose stomach fat, you have to do lots of cardio and healthy eating. Doing sit-ups and crunches work a different group of stomach muscles, so that wont lose the fat below your abs. Stay away from sugary drinks, or juices bc you consume so many calories without filling yourself. You said you were allergic to tree nuts, so I would recommend avocado. It’s filling and healthy. Hope this helps. :)

Also a diet plan would be good (eg. What to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner) Thanks in advance!

    • ANSWER:

I am 5 foot 3. I weigh 47 kg (how much is that in pounds?) and would like to weigh at least 40 kg. I am a vegeterian and sometimes eat a bit too much unhealthy stuff. Could anyone suggest a diet plan that would work for me? Also, I am open to all ranges of exercise ideas.

    • ANSWER:
Count your calories. Start eating less of the unhealthy things, and you will lose weight. It’s all about control. You don’t really need a “diet plan”. Watch your calories, keep them below a certain amount, and the weight will come off.

If I keep up this diet and exercise plan, when should I start seeing a change in my body?
Okay, here’s my diet plan: No breakfast, no lunch, and a healthy dinner (i think) my exercise plan: Do twists and those things where you reach your arms from one side of your body to the other for 10 minutes every 20 minutes.

    • ANSWER:
doesn’t sound like you are doing enough toning …

eat breakfast and a small dinner (at least – 6 small meals a day is best) … you burn off calories all day long and store what you eat at night …

try something that makes you move a little more … start with walking and stretches … then move to jogging and/or swimming or martial arts type aerobics … swimming and martial arts focus on core body muscles … in short, they burn a ton of calories and trim and tone your waist …

Is swimming an effective way to lose weight? Will my diet and exercise plan work?
I’m a 20 year old girl, and weigh around 125 pounds (around 15-20 pounds overweight due to my short height of 4’11″). I’d like to slim down before summer, so I was thinking of starting a daily swimming routine and diet.

As for my current lifestyle, I don’t exercise at all, I never drink water if I can avoid it, and I don’t make any effort to eat healthy lol.

So…for my diet I plan on eating less and healthy of course (avoiding carbs, eating more veggies and fruits etc), and will start drinking water daily (2 liters I’ve been recommended), along with daily vitamins.

The diet I think I can handle, but what I’m really wondering is if swimming will be an effective way to help me lose weight further and tone up my body? I plan on swimming (mostly freestyle, but breast stroke and back too) almost daily for an hour. Will that work? I’m worried I’ll put a lot of effort towards this for nothing. I’ve heard a few times that swimming isn’t any good for weight loss because calories are harder to burn.

    Opinions and tips please? =)

What’s a good diet and exercise plan?
I’m 5’2 and about 115 lbs. I was wondering if there are any good diet plans that don’t involve a lot changes to my diet. Also what are some good exercise programs that don’t involve the gym or a lot of outdoor activity?

I don’t have a lot of time between school and work so quick tips for on the go activity would be helpful as well.

I’m not a vegan and don’t plan on becoming one so please don’t suggest any vegan diets. I eat small portions of a semi well-rounded diet already and don’t eat too many sweets but indulge every so often.
I want to spend a lot of money on an exercise plan. Anything that I can do for free or at a minimal cost is preferable.

    • ANSWER:
Weight Watchers looks like the perfect match for you. It’s very flexible and you can indulge every now and then. You can eat anything you want in moderate portions.
For your fitness program, I’d suggest you buy a book on home fitness. Or maybe some fitness dvd, so you can exercise at home when you have the time.
      Good luck!

    • ANSWER:
When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

what is the best possible diet plan and exercise plan to lose 50 lbs. in 1 month?
I have one month left. I need to lose 50 lbs and i will do anything, but naturally. No diet pills of any kind. What is the BEST exercise that made any of you lose the most weight as fast as possible?

    • ANSWER:
it’s too much, and, unless you are extremely overweight, inadvisable.
You will end with a lot of lose skin this way, and may have health complications. Just try to do your best. 10 – 15 top is fine.

So I’m a figure skater and I do quite a lot of training but I really want to lose weight! I’m not fat, a lot of me is muscle, but I definitely am not skinny and I would like to be :( I’m not lazy, I’ve tried so much things! Diet plans, exercise plans, everything! I even have a personal trainer but I’m obviously doing something wrong.

Does anyone have a diet and an exercise plan that’s worked for them that you could share with me, please?

    • ANSWER:
You need to have muscle to be a figure skater! You can’t be scrawny AND strong. The power and grace of figure skating is beautiful. Love yourself :)

Just eat REALLY healthy, no chips, pop, anything except once every 2 weeks, or after a meet/competition. You should get plenty of exercise from figure skating, but ask your coach if there is anything you need to work on strength/toning/cardio-wise and get an exercise plan from them. That way you’re working towards being a better figure skater AND working out :)

How to control the Obesity – Give any Exercise Plan and Diet Plan?
Friends, any idea About the Exercise Plan and Diet Plan and how to contorl the Weight.

    • ANSWER:
The simplest and the most basic principle is to reduce food intake, especially the fat content, and increasing physical activity. Increasing physical activity alone is not an easy way to lose weight unless one combines it with a reduction of fat intake. Physical activity includes walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, aerobics or any other household activity such as cleaning, washing, climbing stairs etc. The sense of well-being and weight loss motivates an individual to make changes in his or her diet as well. The best way of keeping a good control on ones dietary intake is to keep a daily diary, and writing down whatever one eats as one eats. Avoid high oil content in the curries and do not use butter on chappatis, which may be tasty without the fat. The doctor or health care provider evaluates the daily diet and plans a diet providing calories enough to maintain the weight below the ideal body weight.

Increase your physical; activity and reduce the intake of food. Your initial goal of weight loss therapy should be to reduce the bodyweight by 10% from baseline. With success, further weight loss can be attempted. Weight loss should be 1-2 kg for 6 months. Reducing dietary fat alone without reducing calories is not sufficient for weight loss. Reducing dietary fat along with dietary carbohydrates can help reduce calories. Weight maintenance program should be priory after 6 months.

In order to maintain one’s weight, calories consumed should be equal to calories used. Energy balance is like a scale. When calories consumed are more than calories used, it results in weight gain. Let physical activity tip the scale in your favour. You can perform aerobic exercises 30 minutes a day thrice week. Avoid a sedentary lifestyle.

Certain medicines are also available for weight reduction. There are two main types of weight reducing drugs: one class decreases appetite while the other prevents dietary fat from being absorbed by the body. These drugs should be taken only with doctor’s advice, as there are a lot of side effects related with their use. Surgery to cure obesity should be undertaken as the last resort for people who are very obese, have tried all the other options available and have medical problems. The main surgical option is to have your stomach banded or stapled so that it cannot accommodate more food. Why not eat less voluntarily?

Whats a good diet and exercise plan to get “ripped” abs?
Im trying to get a six pack with the “v” muscle (i really want the v muscle) and i need a work out plan to get the muscles and a diet plan to make the muscles show better. What kind of foods should i eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

    • ANSWER:
Everyone has a sixpack and most people have the “v” muscle look too. However, almost everyone has a bodyfat percentage that is too high to show their abs (over 10% for men). All the crunches in the world will not get you the ripped look. You have to lower your body fat percentage to under 10%.

      To lose fat:
      2. DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF! Unless you are 4ft tall, a 1,200 calorie a day diet is DANGEROUS and won’t work in the long run.
      3. Calculate your BMR. Do a google search. A good calculator would ask for your age, height, weight, and activity level.
      4. Eat healthy and eat about 500 calories a day less than your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Your BMR is how many calories you need per day to maintain your current weight.
      5. Eat 5-6 small meals a day. This keeps your metabolism up. Each meal should include fruits, veggies, water, and protein.
      5. Drink at least 64oz (8 8oz glasses) of water a day. No soda (that includes diet soda).
      6. Do light/moderate cardio 3 to 5 times a week for 30 to 45 minutes each time. Running, bicycling, and swimming are great for this.
      7. Do some strength training to make sure you lose fat and not muscle. Don’t worry; you won’t look like the hulk if you lift weights.
      8. You should lose about 1-2lbs per week. If you lose more than that, chances are the rest is stool, water weight, or even muscle mass.
      9. Weigh yourself only once a week at the same time (ie every Friday morning). Your weight fluctuates a lot during any 24hour period because of water and food intake and also bowel movements.
Be patient and be smart. If you follow this guideline you will be very happy with your results.

How do you get yourself motivated to start a diet/exercise plan?
I am starting to cut out sweets and such, and to add weight training to my daily routines for exercise, but I find it depressing to know I can’t gorge myself on chips and chocolate lol… that I will have to limit my intake. Any tips on getting past that?

    • ANSWER:
Many bodybuilders cheat on one meal per week. Everyone has favorite foods that are not the greatest.

You can also allow yourself a reasonable amount of chips and/or chocolate every few days, but allow for the extra calories by reducing somewhere else. This does not apply to the cheat meal.

If you are on a diet that you hate, it will never work in the long run.

Im getting bullied by my sister for being fat im 12 4ft-5ft and want a diet/exercise plan help plz?
i know i should tell my mum but she does nothing the only thing that would really help me is a good diet plan that envolves exercise. thanks

    • ANSWER:
at 12 dieting is not a good idea. your young and your metabolism should be going a mile a minute. Im not sure what your current diet/exercise lifestyle is like but if you are eating lots of fast food and sitting around all day watching tv then the best plan would be to stop eating the fast food and to go outside and play. Run around during the day, ride your bike, snack on fruits and vegetables. Also if your sister is being mean to you, just hit her good and hard one time so she knows that she needs to stop. That should also get your moms attention. Aim low, go for the knees (not really just messing around, you should really just tell your sister that you dont care what she says and that you can fix your weight but she cant fix being ugly.)

What is a good diet/exercise plan for a 14 year old girl?
I want to lose about 30 lbs over the summer. I am going to try eating like usually do, but eating fruit and stuff like that. I am going to be getting a bike soon so i will have that to exercise on, but I need some more ideas. Thanks(:

    • ANSWER:
Drink lots of water! Very good for you, and makes you feel full. Also, whenever you’re bored, people usually eat to fill that void. Do NOT eat out of boredom. You’ll be gaining pounds in know time. It’s called appetite, not hunger. Don’t eat like a pig and you should be fine. As with exercise, join a gym, or do what you said and ride your bike often.

    • ANSWER:
Hello, sorry to hear your weight issue. Unfortunately I can relate (who can’t these days!!!)… So hear is my advise to you.

No. 1 – healthy body = healthy mind.
No. 2 – do NOT give up, every step is a step closer to your goal weight so don’t give in.

I understand your weight will be effecting your life in so many ways, ALOT of ways, so it’s important you act on this now. Truth is, you really are the only one to turn your life around so some handy tips and small changes for you to make … as follows :o)

Eat brekky, and make every meal yum and interesting.
For example: Brekky – Have a boiled egg on multi-grain toast, add onion, chili flakes, avocado (no butter!), tomato.
So when you eat it’s not boring and it gives you something to look forward to. Obviously you like to eat, so dont change that. What you can change is what you are eating and how much of it.
You could eat every 30 mins if you want, providing it’s good food.

Drink at least 600ml bottles of water a day, this will flush out any badness in your system. This is a big key so don’t avoid water, you will pee every minute but it’s a good thing ok. Try to go ONE week without having anything but water to drink, you may get headaches etc at first, but remind yourself “why am i doing this”.

Alot of your problem my friend is your mind. So you need to realllllyyyy train your mind, think healthy, think as if you are skinny and soon you will be acting skinny and then next you will be.

Exercise as much as you can, anything will make a difference. Cross trainers and rowing machines are extremely good for you. Ask yourself every day “what can I do TODAY to make a difference”. You only live in the now.

Don’t attempt diets, that is not your answer Im afraid (maybe for someone who needs to fit into a dress size down).. You need to change your lifestyle ok, so this will involve changing your thought pattern, you need to let these cravings for bad food pass.

Get into sport and chilli. This will speed up your matoblism(?), so add chili to as much food as you can.

      In a nut shell…
Have breakfast …. Drink only Water……Exercise at least 3-4 times a week for atleast 30 minutes each time. Don’t eat bad food until you deserve it…. Remind yourself constantly why you are doing this….Keep a food diary…. Get help if need be!…. Set goals.

The hardest thing is mainting your helthy lifestyle. So once you start just do not give up. You can go weeks without seeing a difference but honestly, you will be making BIG progress.

You’re so young, you need to be full of life and love yourself, think of all the guys at skool with nice bods that u hate and how you have the exact same power to look like that to.

You can do this, just belive in yourself and dont slack off.

Good luck!!! P.S eat an apple a day (i had to force myself to do this, and eat as much veges as you can and grilled fish)!!

What is a good diet/exercise plan for me?

what is the best diet/exercise plan for someone who works 3rd shift?
Every diet and exercise book I have found is made for someone who works 1st shift- i.e. eat a big breakfast in the morning, go for a jog at sunrise- etc etc. I have worked third shift for so long, my circadean rhythm is skewed and I need a diet that will work for me. Anyone out there have this problem as well? Have you had any luck with any of the current popular diets or have one of your own?

    • ANSWER:
Here’s how mine works, and it will work for anyone:

Here’s all you need to lose weight. First, you have to realize there is no quick, long lasting weight loss plan or pill that is going to do the trick. It’s purely mental. You have to learn to “Eat to live, don’t live to eat”. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? It is, if you understand that you are going to be reprogramming how you think about eating for the next few weeks. Old habits die hard, right? Not really. You get rid of bad habits by replacing them with good habits. If you learn to count your calories, keep calorie intake lower than output, exercise moderately, and eat only healthy food, you will lose weight. That’s a fact. All it takes is repetition. All success stories have this in common: The successful folks among us know how to be patient, persistent, and consistent. Set a goal and stick with it. The benefits of feeling good will outweigh any sense of sacrifice you might feel about having to push away that cake and ice cream. Here are some helpful and healthy links to help you get started on your way:

I need a diet plan and exercise plan?
Im planning on loosing some weight this summer(maybe 20 lbs or so ) I dont have access to a gym though
What should i be eating ? And what are good exercises to do?
Could anyone list what i should be eating each day (weekly diet plan)
Thanks i will choose best answer

    • ANSWER:
Since your goal is just weight loss, I would focus on three things: your goals, what you eat, and cardio

Since your long term goal is to lose 20lbs, make sure you have some short term goals so you stay on track (consider them checkpoints to your finish). Say “I will lose 5lbs in 2-3 weeks”. It is definitely feasable and if you stick with it the fat will come off. Also, find something to motivate you, whether it be compliments from friends/family, looking good in a swimsuit, impressing someone, feeling healthy, etc. This will ensure that you dont give up

You should be eating natural foods that contain whole grains, as well as green veggies, fish, lean meat, eggs, nuts, fruit, and water. Shoot for a bunch of small meals a day (6 is perfect, eating every 3hrs) and use spices that are low in calories to add excitement to your meals

For exercise, I would suggest going outside and running/jogging depending on your physical condition. running outside burns more calories than a treadmill and is more fun. Since a gym is not an option find some things around the house to use as free weights if you want to do strength training. If not you can pick some up at a sports store. Some of the best athletes train with nothing but sandbags! You can find inexpensive/free items to help you lose weight. Best of luck to you
